Jeffrey M. Gersch PT

Physical Therapist, Owner/Director

Jeff Gersch received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn in 1991.  He began his career at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he developed his skills in treating a wide variety of patients including spinal cord injury, post surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic, neurological and cardiac care.  He left the hospital setting to concentrate on primarily out patient orthopedics.  An opportunity to practice in his home town of Highland presented itself in 1993 at Highland Physical Therapy and he has continued to provide P.T. services to his community over the past 24 years culminating in his purchasing of the practice in 2008, where he continues to provide these services. When not in the office, Jeff enjoys traveling, the beach, vacations, walking and spending time with his family.



Daria Cymbal, MS, PT

Physical Therapist









Daria Cymbal received her dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology from Hunter College in NYC.  In 1994, at the age of 24 she completed her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Touro College in Dix Hills L.I.  For the last 15 years she has specialized in Sports and Orthopedic outpatient physical therapy exclusively.  She loves the challenge of treating all age groups with various joint and muscular dysfunction.  Out of the office Daria enjoys family time, hiking, traveling and reading.

Sonia Borges, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant







 


Sonia Borges earned her Massage Therapist license in 2005 at the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy. She then furthered her education at Orange County Community College where she attained a Physical Therapy Assistant degree. After working in a few facilities in the Hudson Valley she found her home at Highland Physical Therapy, where she treats an array of diagnosis and patients of all ages. Sonia uses many hands on techniques to achieve the best result of each individual patient. In her free time she enjoys the company of her two children by dancing, singing, and playing games. After a long day of helping others she is simply known as mom. 

Sarah Forzano, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant


Sarah Forzano received her Associate in Science degree from Becker College in Worcester, MA in 2001.  She has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2001. For the past 17 plus years she has worked predominately in the outpatient setting, while gaining additional experience working in the skilled nursing and inpatient settings as well.  She enjoys working in the outpatient setting as she is able to work with all ages of patients with varying orthopedic  musculoskeletal  conditions.  Outside of work Sarah can be found cheering on her three sons year round as they play basketball, baseball and football.



Gino Watson,
Physical Therapy Tech


 
Gino Watson is a life long resident of Highland, NY.
He is a major asset to our team, assisting in the care of our patients.  He prepares treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy apparel or apertures.  Gino helps  further the patient's rehabilitation process in physical therapy. Supervises physical therapy exercise, paperwork, prepare and clean equipment.  After work, Gino is busy taking care of his 3 year old daughter and enjoys watching her grow up.
