Jeffery M. Gersch PT

Physical Therapist, Owner/Director

Jeff Gersch received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn in 1991.  He began his career at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he developed his skills in treating a wide variety of patients including spinal cord injury, post surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic, neurological and cardiac care.  He left the hospital setting to concentrate on primarily out patient orthopedics.  An opportunity to practice in his home town of Highland presented itself in 1993 at Highland Physical Therapy and he has continued to provide P.T. services to his community over the past 24 years culminating in his purchasing of the practice in 2008, where he continues to provide these services. When not in the office, Jeff enjoys traveling, the beach, vacations, walking his dog Julius and spending time with his family.



Brad Benton

Physical Therapist









​Brad is a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley. In 2010, he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Dominican College, Orangeburg, NY. Brad’s revelations about the vast benefits of physical therapy came after sustaining a sport’s related injury; necessitating participation in the rehabilitation process. This lone event sparked a lifelong interest in the physical therapy arena. Brad has a deep-seated commitment to the profession of physical therapy through evidence-based practice and a continuing his stewardship of physical therapy.Brad’s other interests include spending time outdoors, reading and enjoying time with family. 
 

Sonia Borges

Physical Therapist Assistant







 

Sonia Borges earned her Massage Therapist license in 2005 at the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy. She then furthered her education at Orange County Community College where she attained a Physical Therapy Assistant degree. After working in a few facilities in the Hudson Valley she found her home at Highland Physical Therapy, where she treats an array of diagnosis and patients of all ages. Sonia uses many hands on techniques to achieve the best result of each individual patient. In her free time she enjoys the company of her two children by dancing, singing, and playing games. After a long day of helping others she is simply known as mom. 

Jenn Kelly

Physical Therapist








Jenn Kelly is a graduate of Russell Sage College and Sage Graduate School in 1999 with her M.S. degree in Physical Therapy.  Jenn’s focus is orthopedics and sports rehabilitation.  She also has a certification in Pilates Mat and Reformer. She has a passion for working with her patients in holistic manor to ensure her patients are getting the best care and benefiting from their experience with physical therapy.  Jenn enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, pilates and running.  

Daria Cymbal

Physical Therapist









​Daria Cymbal received her dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology from Hunter College in NYC.  In 1994, at the age of 24 she completed her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Touro College in Dix Hills L.I.  For the last 15 years she has specialized in Sports and Orthopedic outpatient physical therapy exclusively.  She loves the challenge of treating all age groups with various joint and muscular dysfunction.  Out of the office Daria enjoys family time, hiking, traveling and reading.

Susan Bloch

Physical Therapist









Susan Bloch interest in physical therapy began during extensive training for a career in dance. Susan earned a BA in Dance from Connecticut College and then a MS in Physical Therapy from College of Staten Island in 2002.  Since that time, she has worked in hospital and out-patient orthopedic settings treating a wide variety of conditions.  She has also become a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Susan is passionate about helping people move with greater ease.  In her spare time, Susan likes to hike, bird watch and garden, as well as spend time with her family.

Personal Trainer / Physical Therapy Aide









​Jeffrey Gerch Jr. joined our team in 2008. He earned his certification in personnel training from Dutchess Community College in 2011. He is an integral member of our team. He currently is our lead assistant for our physical therapy staff.  In his leisure, he is an avid college basketball and Met fan. He routinely can
be found working out at the local gym or on the basketball court. He desires to pursue a degree as a physical therapy assistant in the near future.
